- One hell of an effort by the guys in Orange and Maroon. Overmatched the entire game, the Hokies outplayed Kansas State in their building for 26 minutes.
- Two calls are really bothering me. The charge called on Erick Green in the first half, and the blocking foul called on Jeff Allen (his 4th) with 13:23 to go in the second. You make the call.

- The 4th foul on Allen changed the entire complexion of the rest of the game. The Hokies had to abandon their aggressive man-to-man (which had been working well) and switch to a zone defense. The Hokies simply didn’t have the bodies to keep playing their defense at the rate fouls were being called.
- Victor Davila was more involved out on the court. He finished with 5 points and 4 offensive rebounds.
- Jarell Eddie can ball. 8 points, 7 rebounds, 3 blocks. Still a freshman on defense though.
- We have a good basketball team. With the limited personnel we have, we’re going to have to be more disciplined to become a great basketball team.

Regarding Green's charge: charging isn't about having feet set - it's about player control. Watch video of the play and you'll see the defender was actually moving backwards, and Green still bowled him over. Textbook charge.
I don't remember the blocking call - so I can't comment on it. What I can say is that a REALLY good team took themselves out of the game by getting frustrated and making it easy for the refs to call fouls on them.
This may not be what you expect from the Hokies, but it's definitely what you have to expect from K-State. Foul, be fouled, and wait for a big run.
If the first one was a charge, then Pullen should have gotten his 4th foul with 13 min left not Allen.
My issue with the Green call is that the defender was not moving backwards, he was moving right to left when contact was initiated, impeding Green's path, which is a textbook block.
I'm not trying to blame the loss on the referees, just trying to show that an inconsistent call had a major effect on the game.
