Manny Atkins to transfer from Virginia Tech

Virginia Tech wing Manny Atkins has been granted a release from his scholarship and will transfer.  The rising junior from Stone Mountain, GA averaged 4.9 points per game this season and helped the Hokies win several games off the bench during his career.  According to hokiesports.com, Atkins' decision to transfer is based on a desire to be a greater focal point in the offense.      Atkins' departure leaves Tech with 3 talented, but unproven wings to fill two positions next season.  High school All-American Dorian Finney-Smith will likely start with the remaining spot going to either freshman Robert Brown or rising sophomore Jarell Eddie.
