A phenomenal effort from the entire Hokies lineup propelled Tech to it’s third win over the nation’s top ranked team in just 5 seasons. On a night in which senior leader Malcolm Delaney struggled to score from the field, the Hokies fed off a ruckus crowd to down the #1 ranked Duke Blue Devils in thrilling fashion. Denied a chance in the NCAA Tournament for three straight years, seniors Malcolm Delaney, Jeff Allen, and Terrell Bell delivered a statement win in arguably the most important game in Virginia Tech basketball history.
